Mother's Day

Today is Mother's Day and it's been a good day. It started out with working in my church nursery. It was followed by time with Mom this afternoon. When Peter got off work, we picked him up for a Taco dinner at Mom's house. After dinner, Mom and I discussed how many more states we needed to visit to visit all fifty states. My dad made it to forty-nine. She only has four more to reach her goal. My list requires a little more travel. After this discussion, she took Peter on a tour of her Garden. It was fun to watch. I gave Mom some pidley gifts and provided a taco dinner. Mom bought me a new edger for my yard. I know that's rather backward!. But I am grateful and will use it at her house if needed. Peter gave me a lovely and expensive leather bag. It was very sweet of him. He was proud of himself. It was a good day.

Peter was in good spirits this evening. He did have an issue at work today that has him a little concerned about his job. He let an expensive device he uses in his job get away in the back of a customer's truck after he loaded a large purchase. I pray that the woman discovers it and returns it to the store. I hope that Peter's given another chance. He seems to like the job. It would be good for him to be able to stay at Lowes. Peter is also anticipating a move regarding his living situation.  He will be in the same complex but sharing a place with a roommate. Please pray for this transition and for the relationship to be a positive one.

As delightful as the day was I was somewhat distracted. You see there are kittens in my shed. Yesterday I went to get something out of the shed and there was a scatter and a scurry. Evidently during the storms the other night a neighborhood stray brought her five kittens into my shed. There's a crack under the door. I've seen the mom come and go over the past thirty-six hours. She has not abandoned them but is gone most of the time.  I can't help but want to go talk to the kittens. I have not picked them up but they don't hide from me. A couple have been curious and will come out to the door. They are so stinking cute. Does anyone want a kitten???
