left you hanging!

I think most of you know by now that I'm not always the best about follow up. Typically in my case  no news is good news. But I don't mean to keep you hanging.

Some have been wondering about that expensive device Peter accidentally left in Is a customers truck at work. The lady returned it and there appeared to be no reprocussions. Peter seems to like his job. He said he didn't mind walking most of the time. He has figured out how to use our local bus system for rainy days. The bus availability  is limited but it has been useful and is  inexpensive. He moved in with his  roommate Brent a couple weeks ago. It has been rennovated and is nicer than the one he had been in. I don't.
know how much he and Brent interact but Peter seems to be content with the current situation. Brent likes things clean and tidy. Peter says that is keeping him on his toes. I should say so as I used to be Peters roommate! Peter and Mama Millie have a weekly lunch date. It sounds like it often involves  shopping as well. Yesterday Peter texted me that he needed to refill his medicine. I told him to call the pharmacy and it sounds like he did and he plans to pick it up tomorrow. That is a big step of independence in comparison to the past. I continue to be grateful for the positive interaction that we have. It is typically pleasant and He is demonstrating a fair amount of independence. I won't lie that there's this part of me that's still "waiting for the other shoe to drop". Peter is on a really small dose of medication. While I think it contributes to his success I keeping him from being overmedicated,  I get concerned that it may lose it's effectiveness at some point. But I keep telling myself there is no need to go there and I need to enjoy today.

Summer season has started at school. This is a busy time for me as we run the program somewhat like a camp with extra activities of which I organize the majority. It really is fun. This year I have instigated the Morning Stretch. I go into the playroom a few minutes before the kids head up to their classrooms. I found a resource for simple theme related yoga stretches. This afternoon a five year old told me he really liked my yoga class. That made my day. This week's theme is Circus. I discovered the church's cotton candy machine and decided I should make the kids cotton candy for the Tastey Tuesday treat. Now I understand why no one wants to make cotton candy!!. I was a sticky mess and I spent a really long time cleaning the machine when i was done. Plus I had a sugar headache from all my sampling. I'm a sucker for pink cotton candy. And yes I know at least one teacher who skipped coming to the cotton candy stand with her two year olds. Others gave them cotton candy and then went straight to the playground. My favorite was the teacher who let them have one bite and told them they had to take the rest of it home!

As always thank you for praying for my family. It is a great encouragement and comfort to me.
