When I was a kid, dad would say, "Lets go over yonder." In church we sang "When the roll is called up yonder." I often wondered, "where exactly is yonder?" The best I can tell, "yonder" is the place you have yet reached but journey towards. You are invited to come along with me on the journey towards "yonder".

Annual Christmas Event
Mom and I participated in the 3rd annual Lake Lanier Under the Lights 5K. This race is held at dusk at Lake Lanier Island in Buford GA the weekend prior to the opening of their grand lights display. In this race, you get to run (or walk :) along the beautiful light displays. Mom, Peter and I participated in the event with some friends the first year it took place. Mom and I had so much fun that we have participated ever since. This year mom and I walked the 3.2 mile course in just under 55 minutes. Believe it or not, it is our fasted time to date. It is hard to be fast when you have to take pictures of the light displays! So we aren't fast but we do have fun. The best part is having this annual outing with my mom. I have spent most of my adult life living a considerable distance from my family. Being around to participate with my mom in this annual outing is just a lot of fun. I am looking forward to our 4th annual Lanier Under the Lights 5 K next year.
