Blue Cast

I had a great visit with the orthopedic doctor today. It's just down the street from my house and he and his whole staff that I dealt with were great to work with. As wrist fractures go, mine is an easy one to deal with. We decided to put it in a cast for the best stability and protection. It's a pretty blue. I've looked at options for decorating it. Think I'll get some different colored cast covers to match outfits and keep it clean. I was told I'm looking at five weeks in the cast. Tonight, that feels really long as it is a bit irritating. Yet also liberating as I can do more than I did with the initial splint. I've decided.
to allow it to ground me a bit. Going to use it as an excuse to try to do a little less perhaps and say  "no" more.

On another note, Peter is facing some challenges. It appears his SSI disability has been discontinued and he received a notice that says he will lose his Medicaid in January. Someone with ACT team is in the process of making an appeal for him. He also learned today that they're cutting hours at work. And he's only got one night scheduled this week. i can tell He's feeling a bit of pressure. With my Decision not to drive out of town with my cast on, He's lost his potential game buddy for a while as well.

My desire is for him to have a friend or someone who would spend a little time with him. Someone he could talk football and basketball and baseball with. Someone who would go to a game with him. I also pray for wisdom Regarding all these financial matters. I've been told he should file for bankruptcy over the medical bills he has.  But I'm not sure where to start. honestly, I'm just not sure how to advise him with some of the stuff. Thank you for praying for wisdom to know what I might need to do and even more so that God would provide some intervention and people.

Thank you
